The globally renowned group have toured their critically acclaimed album ‘Today We’re The Greatest’ through the United States through September and October 2021.
The band is one of 31 artists, producers, songwriters, composers, managers and crew who will receive a share of almost $409,000 through the first round of Sounds Australia’s Export Stimulus (SAES) package, which is assisting our musical talent return to the global stage.
‘With the support from the SAES, we have been able to embark on our planned 2021 USA tour,’ said Katie Besgrove, Middle Kids Co-Manager. ‘We are just over half way through our 23 date tour and couldn’t be more grateful to be playing for old and new fans across the US.
‘This tour gives us and our partners the opportunity to promote our most recent album, and continue to establish our global audience. This funding is integral to assist us with quarantine costs, insurance premiums and increased travel and accommodation expenses as a result of the pandemic.’
Middle Kids will play 23 shows including New York, Chicago and Washington DC and the Firefly Festival in Delaware. The band has also the band performed (via satellite) on The Late Late Show with James Corden and Jimmy Kimmel Live to audiences of millions.
Their new album peaked in the top 5 of the ARIA charts and continues to receive wide-spread radio play across the United States.
