Theft of wallet in Brunswick

Police are investigating after a wallet was stolen from a bottle shop in Brunswick last month.

It’s believed the victim left her wallet on the counter of the bottle shop on Albert Street after making a purchase on 12 April.

A short time later, at 7pm an unknown woman also made a purchase and took the wallet from the counter.

The woman, in company of a man, has then used the credit cards from the wallet to make various purchases in the Brunswick area.

Investigators have released images of two people who investigators believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries.

Anyone who recognises the man and woman or with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppervic.com.au.
