Police will prepare a report for the coroner following the death of two people in Sale this morning.
Emergency services were called to a property in Dryden Place about 9.30am where a 46-year-old man was found deceased inside the residence.
Police attended an address on McLachlan Street a short time later and located a deceased 25-year-man in the rear yard.
The Homicide Squad attended the scenes and at this stage an investigation into the circumstances is ongoing.
Detectives believe the parties were known to each other.
There is no ongoing threat to the community and it’s not believed there are any outstanding parties.
