Update: Series of break and enters, South Brisbane district

Detectives have charged a 19-year-old Kingston man after an allegedly stolen vehicle was intercepted by police in Loganholme on Thursday, June 22.

It will be alleged just after 9.30am, police observed a stolen Ford Ranger traveling dangerously in a northbound direction along the Pacific Motorway at Beenleigh.

The vehicle was allegedly stolen from a Tarcoola Street home in Rochdale South on Wednesday June 21.

Polair was able to track the utility as it continued driving towards Loganholme before coming to a stop at a shopping centre along Bryants Road.

The male driver allegedly left the vehicle on foot but was arrested nearby just after 12pm by detectives from Centenary Crime Team.

The 19-year-old has been charged with numerous offences relating to eight alleged break and enters across businesses in South Brisbane on June 7.

His charges include five counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence, two counts each of enter premises with intent, enter dwelling and commit, unlawful use of motor vehicle, driving of motor vehicle without a driver’s licence, and one count each of dangerous operation of a vehicle, possessing dangerous drugs, possessing by day instruments of house breaking, possessing tainted property, possession of a knife in a public place, obstruct police, evasion offence, offence to buy a possess s4 or s8 medicines and attempted enter premises with intent.

He was remanded in custody and is due to reappear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on July 21.
