A man has died after his van and a tow truck collided in Sydney’s south-west this morning.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Percival and Warren streets at Smithfield about 6.20am (Saturday 9 April 2022), and found the van driver trapped and critically injured.
He died at the scene before he could be released.
The driver of the tow truck was taken to Westmead Hospital to be checked and undergo mandatory testing.
Crash Unit Investigators have examined the scene and the roadway is now open.
