The A. G. Leventis Foundation is to support the work of the Warwick Classics Network and their work to further encourage the teaching of Classical Civilisation and Ancient History in schools across the UK, and especially in Warwickshire and Coventry.
The Warwick Classics Network is the umbrella for all engagement activity undertaken by Warwick linked to the teaching of Classical Civilisation and Ancient History; including teaching resources, outreach events and school visits.
The Network comprises teachers and academics dedicated to the promotion and support of Classics teaching in the West Midlands. Participants are encouraged to share ideas, experiences, and skills, to be creative in their teaching, and in turn are provided with training and advice to support them.

The Classics and Ancient History department at Warwick has an international reputation for its research, including numismatics, epigraphy, medical humanities, ancient literature and ancient global history, and is currently working towards being recognised by Classics for All as a National Centre of Excellence for teaching of Classical Civilisation and Ancient History.
Established in May 1979, the A. G. Leventis Foundation is the outcome of the vision of the Cypriot entrepreneur Anastasios G. Leventis (1902-1978), who laid the bases of its focus on society, education and culture. Now in its fourth decade, the Foundation retains its adherence to these priorities, keenly supporting the dissemination of Greek and Cypriot cultural heritage, as well as extensive public benefits programs, pioneering environmental protection projects and medical research.
