$1M in ICT Contracts Awarded to Local Businesses

City of Darwin has awarded more than $1M across three ICT tenders to three local businesses. This follows a review that revealed opportunities to improve service and device management and update ageing hardware.

The three tenders include contracts for printers, PC’s and laptops and an integrated telephone system. Investment in these technologies aims to improve the delivery of services to the community, enhance productivity and provide cost efficiencies.

Twenty five submissions were received and the three successful tenderers are all local businesses:

  • CSG Business Solutions Pty Ltd for printers
  • Leal Technology for the integrated telephone system and
  • Area9 IT Solutions for PC’s and laptops.

Awarding of these contracts to local businesses aligns with City of Darwin’s ongoing commitment to supporting local businesses.

“City of Darwin takes our position as a major contributor to the Territory economy very seriously,” said CEO Scott Waters, “the awarding of these significant tenders will help boost the economy and support local jobs.

“Through these contracts City of Darwin continues our focus on integrating smart technology and systems into everything we do.”

“This major investment will improve Council’s capabilities and capacity by providing our 350 council employees with greater mobility, flexibility and improve overall productivity,” concluded Scott.

Chris Potter, General Manager Corporate and Procurement added “The three successful tenderers are all local businesses with a strong history of delivery and I look forward to working closely with them to ensure the successful deployment and implementation of the new hardware.”
