Bumper Open Day as Western Sydney University opens its doors to community

Expect a buzz of excitement when Western Sydney University welcomes thousands of prospective students, their families and friends to Open Day on Sunday 14 August – the first opportunity for an on-campus Open Day since the pandemic.

With plenty to see, learn and do, prospective students can get a first-hand look at why Western Sydney University was recently named number one in the world for its social, ecological and economic impact by the prestigious Times Higher Education Impact rankings.

As part of the return-to-campus celebrations, the University is opening up to the community its new $300 million Engineering Innovation Hub for the first time. Located in the heart of Parramatta, the technology-infused vertical campus is focused on innovation in engineering, architecture and the built environment – delivering world-class education, research and collaboration with business and industry.

Western Sydney University will be fully immersed within the Parramatta CBD, with all three of its Parramatta-based locations open and activated – showcasing how the University is deeply embedded in the economic, civic and cultural life of the western Sydney region.

Visitors to Open Day 2022 can expect a warm and welcoming atmosphere with food trucks, live music, prizes and giveaways, interactive displays and chill-out spaces, together with helpful course advice, opportunities to talk with current students and lecturers, and tours of state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities.
