Covid-19 Update 16 March 2020

Nine people in South Australia have today tested positive for COVID-19. There have now been a total of 29 confirmed cases in South Australia.

Today’s confirmed cases are:

  • Female, 50s, overseas travel to the Philippines
  • Male, 50s, overseas travel to the USA and is a close contact of a confirmed case
  • Male, 20s, overseas travel to the USA
  • Female, 50s, overseas travel to the USA
  • Female, 60s, close contact of a confirmed case
  • Male, 40s, close contact of a confirmed case
  • Female, youth, close contact of a confirmed case
  • Male, 50s, overseas travel to the Philippines
  • Male, 60s, overseas travel to the USA

Only travel details relevant to when individual cases were infectious will be released, once they are available.

All COVID-19 testing clinics are now operating seven days a week, with 289 people tested yesterday across the five sites.

As of today, anyone who has travelled overseas should self-isolate for 14 days when they enter Australia.
