Emergency crews respond to fatal single-vehicle crash at Minchinbury, NSW

A man has died after a car he was a passenger in, crashed into a tree at Minchinbury today.

About 3.45pm (Sunday 5 April 2020), emergency services attended the Great Western Highway near Minchin Drive, following reports of a serious car crash.

On arrival officers found a Volkswagen Golf GTi that had crashed into a tree.

Three men, including a 19-year-old driver and two passengers aged 22 and 17, were taken to Westmead Hospital. The driver is listed as critical, while the other two passengers remain in a serious condition.

The fourth man, aged 22, who was seated in the back, died at the scene.

A crime scene was established, and officers from the Crash Investigation Unit have commence an investigation.
