Fourth person charged over involvement in murder of Danny Radulovic in Balmain – Strike Force Dears

A fourth person has been charged following an investigation into the murder of Danny Radulovic in Sydney’s Inner West under Strike Force Dears.

About 3.40pm on Saturday 29 July 2023, emergency services were called to Donnelly Street in Balmain following reports of an assault.

On arrival, officers attached to Leichhardt Police Area Command found a 29-year-old man suffering significant injuries to his head and torso.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, where he died a short time later.

He has since been identified as Dejan ‘Danny’ Radulovic.

Police have been told Danny Radulovic was injured during an altercation with two men before the pair allegedly fled the scene in a white jeep.

The vehicle was found burnt out on Preston Avenue in Five Dock a short time later with a firearm inside.

A post-mortem examination was conducted, revealing Danny Radulovic had suffered a gunshot wound.

Local detectives and State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad established Strike Force Dears to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.

Three people have previously been charged in relation to the incident and remain before the courts.

Following further inquiries, about 6am today (Thursday 21 December 2023), strike force detectives executed a search warrant at an address in Punchbowl, where they arrested a 23-year-old woman.

She was taken to Campsie Police Station where she was charged with hinder investigation serious indictable offence of other.

The woman was granted conditional bail to appear before Bankstown Local Court on Wednesday 17 January 2023.

Police will allege in court the woman was responsible for purchasing the jerry cans of petrol used to set fire to the white jeep.
