Investigation into armed robbery at Dalmeny, NSW

An investigation is underway following an armed robbery on the state’s south coast yesterday evening.

About 7pm (Tuesday 15 June 2021), two men armed with a firearm and machete forced entry into a club on Ruth Place, Dalmeny, and threatened the female attendant who had locked herself in a storeroom.

After the 49-year-old refused to leave the storeroom the duo fled; taking the woman’s keys and her Holden sedan from the venue’s car park.

Although shaken, the woman was not injured during the incident and contacted police.

Officers from South Coast Police District attended a short time later and established two crime scenes, after the woman’s Holden was found abandoned nearby on Acacia Place.

The first man is described as being of thin build, and was wearing a green hoodie, dark grey tracksuit pants and blue and purple shoes at the time.

The second man is described as being of thin build, and was wearing a white hoodie, pink rubber gloves, light grey track pants, white shoes, and a light blue backpack at the time.
