Police have charged a teenage girl following robbery of a 54-year-old female bus driver today November 12.
Preliminary investigations around 12:40pm identified that as the girl was exiting the bus she has grabbed the cash tin containing an amount of coins.
The female bus driver tried to stop the teenager and during the wrestle with the girl her glasses broke and she also sustained some superficial lacerations to her arm.
The girl fled on foot with an amount of coins.
Within 12 minutes of receiving the ‘000’ call police located the teenager in Haig Street Pimlico.
The juvenile female was arrested and will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.
