With the northern grains industry facing new challenges to farm profitability each year, growers are urged to stay up to date with the latest research and development outcomes by attending the 2020 Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) Grains Research Updates.
A two-day Update will be held in Dubbo on February 25 and 26 and will offer vital information on issues impacting growers – ranging from crop agronomy, nutrition management and weed control, through to drought, frost and soil constraints.
A new initiative on offer this year will be a free session for graduate and early career agronomists. The GRDC Emerging Agronomists Network session is designed to help agronomists develop their ‘soft skills’ in areas like negotiation, communication with difficult clients and conflict management.
At these sessions experienced agronomists will be invited to share their experiences and ‘what they wished they’d known’ starting out.
