New bus network for Shepparton students

Vic Department of Transport

Students across Shepparton will benefit from a streamlined school bus network from the first day of term one next year thanks a new and improved bus route for the community.

When the new Greater Shepparton Secondary College (GSSC) opens at the start of 2022, the temporary school bus services implemented earlier this year to transport students to different campuses during construction of the campus will be converted into permanent routes and redirected to GSSC.

St Anne’s College will also benefit from the extension of new school bus network with two extra services in the growth area of Kialla.

Consisting of 26 routes, the new network will make services more efficient, and will maintain existing connections to primary schools and other independent schools across Shepparton.

A brand-new bus interchange with 13 bus bays will be built on Hawdon Street and will service GSSC.

The new network will be operated by Jacobsons and Dysons who are currently operating the school bus services in Shepparton, and GSSC students will continue to receive free bus travel in 2022 as they transition to their new world-class secondary college.

Greater Shepparton Secondary College (GSSC) will open at the start of the 2022 school year, consolidating Shepparton High School, McGuire College, Wanganui Park Secondary College and Mooroopna Secondary College into a single site.

Details of the new and improved school bus services are available on the GSSC website.
