New Director appointed to Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Melinda Percival to the Board of Directors of the Port Arthur Historic Management Authority (PAHSMA). Based in Hobart, Ms Percival brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience across a number of relevant industries including, utilities, airports, tourism and government.

Ms Percival worked as the General Manager Marketing at Aurora Energy, Manager National Markets at Tourism Tasmania and General Manager Corporate Affairs and Aviation for Hobart Airport.

Ms Percival was also the State Government Manager for the nomination of the 11 Australian Convict Sites World Heritage Property and is credited for assisting the three sites that PAHSMA manages – The Port Arthur Historic Site, the Cascades Female Factory Historic Site in South Hobart and the Coal Mines Historic Site at Saltwater river – to be included and gain World Heritage listing.

Ms Percival has held board positions for the Tourism Industry Council Tasmania, Australian Airports Association and Antarctic Tasmania. PAHSMA will benefit from her skills in Strategy, Product Development, Business Development and Negotiation, Marketing, Research, Customer Experience Design, Team Building, Corporate Affairs and Media Relations.

Ms Percival will take up her position immediately for a period of three years.
