On 5 September 2024, the National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Getting the NDIS Back on Track No. 1) Bill 2024 received Royal Assent.
This means the Bill becomes an Act of Parliament – the law.
The new NDIS laws will come into effect on 3 October 2024.
While some changes will take effect on day one, others will be introduced over time as they are designed and implemented.
