A man has been charged with high-range drink-driving after allegedly crashing into three parked cars in Sydney’s west overnight.
About 11.50pm on Wednesday (8 December 2021), emergency services were notified after reports the driver of a Holden Commodore had crashed into two parked vehicles at Ferndell Street, Chester Hill, before driving to Kennedy Street, Guildford, and crashing into a third parked vehicle.
The driver of the Commodore – a 38-year-old man – was detained at the scene by neighbouring residents until the arrival of officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command.
The man was subjected to a roadside breath test, which allegedly returned a positive result.
He was arrested and taken to Granville Police Station, where he returned a secondary breath analysis of 0.153.
The man was issued a Court Attendance Notice (CAN) for drive with high range PCA and his licence was suspended.
He is due to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday 4 January 2022.
