A man and a woman will face court after police seized methylamphetamine and identity documents from a unit in Sydney’s CBD yesterday.
Last month, officers attached to Sydney City Proactive Crime Team commenced an investigation into the supply of prohibited drugs in the Sydney CBD.
Following extensive inquiries, investigators – assisted by officers from Public Order and Riot Squad (PORS) – executed a search warrant at a unit on King Street, Sydney, about 11.50am (Thursday 1 September 2022).
During a search of the property, police allegedly located an amount of methylamphetamine and a number of identity documents. All items seized will undergo further forensic examination.
A 31-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman were arrested at the scene and taken to taken to Surry Hills Police Station.
The man was charged with deal with identity information to commit indictable offence, and unlawfully possess Australian driver licence.
The woman was charged with three counts of possess prohibited drug, supply prohibited drug greater than indictable and less than commercial quantity, and possess/attempt to, prescribed restricted substance.
They were both granted strict conditional bail to appear in Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday 22 September 2022.
