Officers from the Crime and Intelligence Command’s Major and Organised Crime Squad – South East Region (MOCS SER) have closed an investigation targeting drug trafficking by alleged members and associates of the Finks Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG).
Investigators from MOCS SER with the assistance of Taskforce Maxima, Drug and Serious Crime Group, Logan Criminal Investigation Branch and Logan Tactical Crime Squad executed seven search warrants on Tuesday (September 7) across Logan and the Gold Coast, seizing three firearms and quantities of methylamphetamine, cannabis and cash.
A 30-year-old Arundel man, who police will allege is a Finks OMCG associate, has been charged with trafficking dangerous drugs and unlawfully supplying weapons.
A 24-year-old Belivah woman, who police will also allege is a Finks OMCG associate, has been charged with two counts of trafficking dangerous drugs.
A 25-year-old Belivah man has been charged with one count of trafficking dangerous drugs.
A 53-year-old Belivah man has been charged with one count of trafficking dangerous drugs and three counts of unlawful possession of firearms.
All four appeared in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court yesterday (September 8) and were given bail to reappear in October and December.
MOCS SER Acting Detective Inspector Ian Galpin said police will continue investigating and disrupting criminal gangs.
“Methylamphetamine causes a great deal of harm to our community, it destroys families and the lives of individuals. We continue to work with the community to target those involved in the supply of methylamphetamine and the closure of this operation is a great example of what can be achieved,” Acting Detective Inspector Ian Galpin said.
