Applications are now open for the fourth round of the Morrison Government’s $20 million Live Music Australia program, designed to bring more home-grown music to Australian stages.
Minister for Communications, Urban Infrastructure, Cities and the Arts, the Hon Paul Fletcher MP, said the Government is providing $2.5 million in funding under this round to support venues in their recovery from the pandemic.
“As COVID-19 restrictions ease across the country, this targeted funding is vital for venues to rebuild their capacity so they are ready to welcome audiences back – to enjoy original live Australian music,” Minister Fletcher said.
“I encourage pubs, clubs and venues around the country to apply for this round of funding – whether they are located in suburban, regional or remote areas – we’re committed to getting this nation’s music industry back on its feet.”
Under the program, the Morrison Government has invested more than $8 million to support more 300 live music venues and the recovery and sustainability of the live music sector.
