Territory Street Art recognised

The Northern Territory is being recognised nationally for having some of the best street art in the country, driving visitation and enhancing the city experience for locals.

Several iconic Territory murals and events have been named as finalists in the 2024 Australian Street Art Award.

Finalists and categories include:

o Best Street Art Festival or Event – Darwin Street Art Festival

o Best Street Art Festival or Event – K-Town Street Art Event (Katherine)

o Best External Mural – Adnate Mural (Darwin)

o Best Monument or Memorial – Cherry Daniels OAM (Katherine)

o Best Street Art Trail – Big Rivers Portrait Series (Katherine)

o Best Street Art Trail – Katherine Art Trail (Katherine)

o Best Rural Art- Katherine Power Sub Station (Katherine)

The Australian Street Art Awards are about recognising the positive impact public art has on the local community, and boosting visitor appeal and tourist experiences.

Both the Darwin Street Art Festival and K-Town Street Art Event are funded by the Territory Labor Government.

The winners of the Australian Street Art Awards will be announced at the Gala Dinner in early March.
