A woman has been charged after allegedly breaching a tobacconist closure order.
On Friday 14 August 2026, police attended a tobacconist on Horton Street, Port Macquarie, that was subject to a short-term closure order by NSW Health.
A 22-year-old woman was arrested at the time and taken to Port Macquarie Police Station.
She was charged with three offences,
• Sell tobacco products etc. from closed premises
• Enter closed premises without reasonable excuse, and
• Possess tobacco 10x commercial quantity and less than 50x commercial quantity.
She was issued a court attendance notice to appear before Port Macquarie Local Court on Wednesday 30 September 2026.
About 2.40pm on Wednesday 19 August 2026, police attended the same tobacconist and allegedly located the 22-year-old woman inside the store.
She was arrested and taken to Port Macquarie Police Station where she was charged with two counts of enter closed premises without reasonable excuse.
She was granted conditional bail to appear before Port Macquarie Local Court on Wednesday 30 September 2026.
