NSW police charge man over commercial supply of ice and heroin

A man will appear in court today charged over the commercial supply of ice and heroin in Sydney’s west.

In June 2019, detectives from the State Crime Command’s Drug and Firearms Squad established Strike Force Bernhardt to investigate the supply of illicit drugs across Sydney.

Following extensive investigations, strike force detectives, with the assistance of Bass Hill Region Enforcement Squad, arrested a 50-year-old man in a carpark of a hotel at Warwick Farm, about 7.30pm yesterday (Thursday 1 August 2019).

Police will allege in court that the man was at the location to supply 1kg of methylamphetamine and 350g of heroin.

Shortly after the arrest, a search warrant was executed at a home on Game Street, Bonnyrigg, where detectives seized 325g of heroin, 50g of methylamphetamine, 240g of cannabis, and $4000 cash.

The man was taken to Fairfield Police Station and charged with 11 offences including two counts of supply prohibited drug (large commercial quantity), four counts of supply prohibited drug (commercial quantity), four counts of supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity) and possess prohibited drug.

Police will allege in court that the man supplied more than 750g of methylamphetamine and 55g of heroin on four occasions last month.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Friday 2 August 2019).

Investigations are continuing.
