Police are investigating the circumstances of a fatal traffic crash in Elimbah yesterday evening.
Emergency services were called to a single vehicle traffic crash on Beerburrum Road at 9:30pm.
Preliminary investigations indicate the car was travelling south along Beerburrum Road when it is has left the road and crossed the embankment, causing the car to overturn and crash into a tree.
The 19-year-old male driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was declared deceased at the scene.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward.
Officers from the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing investigations.
