Police are investigating after a woman was seriously injured in Keilor Downs this afternoon.
It’s believed a man was threatening to assault the woman at a Kiwi Retreat home just before 1pm.
The incident continued in a car and the victim has fallen onto the road as the car was driving around a corner.
She sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to hospital.
She delivered a baby via c-section which remains in hospital.
The exact circumstances of the incident are yet to be determined.
Police are searching for the male offender believed to be known to the victim.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are on scene.
